If you want it a little thicker in consistency, you can add a little more chocolate in. The pinch of salt is important as it will take the bitter taste away. Just about any kind of cream can be used, just as long as it’s heavy. Use medium heat to melt the chocolate and butter. Then, reduce it to low to allow the ingredients to blend together. Don’t, for whatever reason, begin with high heat or you run the risk of burning the butter which will create a rather unpleasant taste.
