Homemade marinara sauce is simple to make and delicious. It’s a versatile sauce that has so many applications. I use canned tomatoes, but you can also use fresh tomatoes. I use my favorite spices, but you can adjust the spices according to your liking.
- 1 can (14.5 oz) of whole peeled tomatoes
- 2 cloves of crushed garlic
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1/3 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of pepper
- 2 finely chopped basil leaves
