Peanut butter bars are a fast and easy dessert recipe. You can make them in a few minutes. They take a few hours to set in the fridge, however. They are a great snack or lunchbox idea. They last for several days when kept in the fridge.
The chocolate topping is optional. It does add a nice touch both in looks and taste. Β I use standard semi sweet chocolate chips. They do a nice job. You can use the chocolate of your choice, however. I use the Quaker Old Fashioned Whole Grained Oats in the this recipe. They are large oats that bring the ingredients together nicely. If you use another type of oats, make sure they are large oats.
