4 Ingredient Oreo Cake – The Easiest Cake in the World

4ingredientoreocake pinit

Our 4 ingredient Oreo cake is the easiest cake in the world. It is made with easy ingredient such as Oreo cookies, baking powder, milk, and a chocolate glaze. The hardest part of the recipe is waiting for the cake to cook on the stove. That’s more time than making the recipe.

Now, let’s talk about the outcome. This is perhaps the nicest cake I have ever had. Yes, believe me, I have put together a lot of labour intensive cakes that are delicious. This cake, however is pretty much effortless and comes out moist, decadent, smooth, silky. The adjectives just go on and on. Our 4 ingredient Oreo cake is a must try my friends.

Making the Cake

  1. Separate the Oreo tops from the bottoms. Place the tops and bottoms in one bowl and scrape off the filling a put it in another bowl.

  2. Put the cookie tops and bottoms into a food processor and pulse until a fine crumbly mixture forms. You can put them in a plastic bag and pound them too.

  3. Add in the baking powder, milk, and Oreo filling. Mix or pulse until and a smooth, silky mixture forms.

  4. Spray a saucepan with baking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper. Pour the mixture in and place a lid on.

  5. Place a larger frying pan on the stove over low heat. Put the saucepan inside the larger pan and cook for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  6. Place a wire rack over the saucepan and flip it over so the cake comes out. Remove the parchment paper and let it cool.

Making the Chocolate Glaze

  1. Put the chocolate into a bowl and place it in the microwave. Melt it over high, removing and stirring until completely melted.

  2. Add the butter in slowly and stir with a spatula until a silky glaze forms.

  3. Once the cake has cooled, pour the glaze evenly over it.

  4. Sprinkle some grated chocolate around the edges.

Fruit can be used instead of chocolate.
  5. Slice, serve, and enjoy your 4 ingredient Oreo cake.

Note

As with any cake, you can change some of the ingredients. As I said earlier, instead of sprinkling chocolate around the edges, you can use fruit. I think strawberries would look beautiful.

For the filling, use a good quality chocolate. Believe me, it will make the world of difference. Cheap chocolate chips really don't cut it.

Other flavours of Oreos can be used too. I like original, but you can use strawberry or even chocolate.
