Ingredients
  • 4 Italian sausages cut into bite size chunks
  • 1 Red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 Yellow bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 Pound of medium ground beef
  • 1/2 Chopped onion
  • 3 Cloved of chopped garlic
  • 1 Tsp of salt
  • 1 1/2 Tsp of ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tsp of Italian seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp of smoked paprika
  • 3/4 Tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 3 Cups of cooked long grain rice
Instructions
  1. Add some oil to a pan over medium high heat. Place the sausage in and fry until just about cooked through. Add the ground beef in and fry until cooked. Drain off any excess oil. Move the sausage and beef to one side of the pan. Add in the onion and garlic. Saute until fragrant. Place the bell pepper in and fry until they begin to soften. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined. 

  2. Add in half the rice and mix until well combined. Add in the paprika and cayenne pepper. Add the pepper according to your taste. Stir once again until well incorporated. Add in the remaining rice and mix again. 

  3. Plate, serve, and enjoy your Louisiana Dirty Rice!
