Bacon Egg and Cheese Quiche

baconeggcheesequiche
Our bacon, and, Cheese Quiche is a simple, easy and delicious combination. I often make it up for breakfast and family and friends love it. Believe me, they will beg for the recipe. The great thing about Quiche is, you can alter the ingredients. For example, you can add garlic, onion, or any spice of your choice.

Description

There is nothing nicer than a good quiche. I sometimes call it a complete breakfast in a pie shell. As one member said: "What a fantastic way to start the day!"

Ingredients
  • 1 medium pie shell
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3/4 cups half and half cream
  • 2 medium stalks of green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 6 medium strips of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup old shredded cheddar cheese (I use old sharp cheese, but you can use the cheese of your choice.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Using a fork, poke some holes into the pie shell. Place into a 375 degree F or 190 C preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

  2. Add the eggs, cream, onions, red bell pepper, bacon, cheese, salt, and pepper to a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.

  3. Allow the pie shell to cool for a few minutes and pour in the quiche mixture. It should be filled about 3/4 the way full. Place in a 375 F. or 190 C preheated oven for about 45 minutes.

  4. Serve and enjoy your bacon, egg, and cheese quiche.
