Description

The budget meals keep coming with this creamy spicy pork strips in tomato sauce. Just imagine, a few simple ingredients and you have dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes. Life doesn't get much easier. 

Ingredients
  • 1 pound pork loin or chops cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons oil for frying
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper, divided
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 4 cloves chopped garlic
  • 1/2 small chopped onion
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup table cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
  1. Add the oil to a pan over medium high heat. Place the pork strips in and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Fry until cooked through. 

  2. Add in the onion, garlic, chilli powder, pepper flakes, and the other half of the black pepper. Stir and saute until the garlic is fragrant.

  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and the cream. Mix and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes. 

  4. Plate, serve with mashed potatoes, and enjoy.

As always, adjust the seasoning according to your liking. 

I use a pork loin sliced into strips but you can use chops if you wish.

Add more or less tomato sauce and/or cream according to your liking.
