  1. Add the beef to a skillet over medium high heat. Break up and begin to fry. Add in the sausage. Fry both until cooked through and no longer pink.

  2. Push everything to one side of the pan and add in the celery, onion and garlic. Stir and sauté until the onion and garlic are fragrant and the celery begins to soften. Give everything a good mix together.

  3. Push to one side of the pan again and add in the tomato paste. Stir and cook for 2 or 3 minutes and mix once again. Add in the sun dried tomatoes and beans. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, basil, and beef broth. Stir until well combined. Turn down the heat and allow to simmer for 5 or 10 minutes.

  4. Spread the biscuits over the top and place in a 375 degree preheated oven until the biscuits are baked and browned. This will take about 15 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven, garnish with cilantro or parsley, and serve.

  6. Enjoy your Cure-All One-Pan Comfort Skillet.

Note

Drain about ⅓ of the maple bean sauce to keep the skillet rich but not overly sweet.

Mild or hot Italian sausage both work well — choose based on your heat preference.

If your biscuits brown too quickly, loosely tent with foil during the last few minutes of baking.

Let the skillet rest 5–10 minutes before serving so the biscuits set properly.

This recipe is best served straight from the skillet while warm.
