Tuna puttanesca is an Italian dish. It originated in Naples. It is one of my favourite meals due to it's simplicity and wonderful flavours. The entire recipe can be done in about 30 minutes. This makes it a great midweek meal.

Add the spaghetti to a pot of salted boiling water. Cook for about 10 minutes until al denté. Strain and set aside.
Add the olive oil to a pan over medium high heat followed by the garlic. Stir for a couple of minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
Put the olives in followed by the capers, hot pepper flakes, and parsley. Stir until well combined.
Add the tuna in stir and break down. Cook for about 1 minutes.
Put the tomatoes in and season with the pepper. Stir and bring it to a boil.
Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for about 8 minutes.
Place the pasta in and toss until completely coated and combined.
Plate, serve, and enjoy your delicioso tuna puttanesca.

Original puttanesca recipes use anchovies. I don't like them, so I left them out. By all means, use them if you like. You can vary the amounts of the other ingredients as well.
