Easy Cheesy Baked Chicken Salsa

Description

Midweek meal time again and Cook n' Share to the rescue with easy cheesy baked chicken salsa. This is a dish you can make up in about 45 minutes and will be a winner with the entire family.

  1. Add the salsa to a bowl. Squeeze in the lime juice and add in half the cilantro. You can add more if you wish. Stir until well combined.

  2. Place the chicken on a plate and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and taco seasoning.

  3. Add a layer of salsa to the bottom of a baking dish. Place the chicken over followed by another layer of salsa.

  4. Place the chicken into a 375 degree F or 195 C preheated oven for about 35 minutes.

  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and spread the cheese over the top. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  6. Plate, garnish with more cilantro, serve, and enjoy.

I use mild salsa and taco seasoning, but you can use hot or medium if you wish.

Add more fresh veggies or pepper to the salsa if you wish.
