  • 8 Medium drumsticks
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs (You can also use panko or Italian.)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (You can make your own or buy store bought.)
  • 1/2 cup grated or powdered parmesan
  • 3 slices mozzarella cheese cut in half
  • 1 tablespoon dried or fresfresh or dried basil for garnish
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F or 200 C.

  2. Add the bread crumbs to a mixing bowl and dredge the chicken until completely coated. If the chicken is dry add in a tablespoon of water. Set them aside in a baking dish sprayed with baking spray.

  3. Place the chicken in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes or cooked through.

  4. Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each drumstick. Sprinkle some parmesan over and lay 1/2 slice of mozzarella over each drumstick.

  5. Return the chicken to the oven for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. Garnish with basil, serve, and enjoy your easy parmesan chicken drumsticks.

You can add additional spices to the breadcrumbs to boost the flavour. If you are using plain crumbs you will certainly have to. Feel free to add extra ingredients as you see fit.
