To Make the Sweet and Spicy Ground Pork

  1. Add some oil to a pan over medium high heat. Place the pork in and press down (flatten)  with a spoon or flipper. Allow to sear on one side. The pork should begin to turn a dark brown. Break it up and fry until cooked through.

  2. To make the sauce, add the honey, soy sauce, wine vinegar, ginger, garlic, sriracha, hoisin, and pepper to a small bowl. Mix until well combined.

  3. Pour the sauce over the pork mixture, stir, and mix well. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce reaches a soft boil. Set aside.

To Make the Butter Garlic Noodles

  1. Add the noodles to a pot of boiling water. Cook for a few minutes until tender. Drain and set aside. I usually do this while the pork is frying to save time.

  2. Add the butter to a pan over medium high heat and allow it to melt down. Reduce the heat if the butter begins to burn. Place the garlic in followed by the hot pepper flakes. Stir and saute until the garlic is fragrant. Add the cooked noodles in and stir once again until well combined. Add in the parmesan cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and stir until combined.

Serving

  1. Place the noodles on a plate and garnish with parsley. Add the pork to a second plate and garnish with green onions. You can serve seperately or combine the two. It's a matter of preference.

  2. Enjoy your Sweet & Spicy Ground Pork Over Garlic Butter Noodles!

Note

  • Choose Your Noodles: While egg noodles or spaghetti work great, feel free to use ramen, linguine, or even udon for a different twist. Just make sure they hold up to the sauce.
  • Adjust the Heat: Like it spicier? Add extra chili flakes or a splash of sriracha. Prefer it milder? Cut back on the spice and let the sweet and garlicky flavors shine.
  • Balance the Sweetness: Brown sugar or honey adds that essential sweetness, but you can adjust the amount to suit your taste. Start small and taste as you go.
  • Add Veggies: Stir in julienned carrots, snow peas, or bell peppers for extra color, crunch, and nutrition.
  • Make It Ahead: The ground pork mixture can be made in advance and reheated. Just cook the noodles fresh for best texture.
  • Garnish for Impact: Top with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, or fresh cilantro to finish it with a pop of flavor and color.
