  1. Add the ground beef to a pan over medium high heat. Break it up. Stir and fry until cooked through and browned. Remove any excess oil during the cooking process. Push the meat to one side. Add in the onion and garlic. Stir and fry until fragrant. Add in the bell pepper and stir until it begins to soften. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, smokey seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, mustard, ketchup, BBQ sauce, and brown sugar. Mix until the seasoning covers the meat.

  2. Add in the beans, tomato sauce, and kidney beans. Stir until well combined and bring to a soft boil. Crack open the biscuits and place them over the top of the mixture. Spread the cheese over the top.

  3. Place in a 375 degree F or 200 degree C preheated oven for about 15 minutes. Garnish with the parsley, plate, and serve. Enjoy your Ground Beef Bean & Biscuit Casserole Bake!

Note

Customize the Beans: We used black and kidney beans for a great combo of texture and flavor, but feel free to swap in pinto, navy, or even chili-style beans based on your taste or pantry staples.

Homemade or Store-Bought Biscuits: Either works wonderfully. If you're short on time, refrigerated biscuit dough is a great shortcut. For a more rustic touch, whip up a quick homemade biscuit dough from scratch.

Add Some Heat: Want a bit of kick? Stir in a diced jalapeño, a dash of hot sauce, or a pinch of red chili flakes to the beef mixture before baking.

Cheese, Please: For extra richness, sprinkle shredded cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a cheese blend on top before adding the biscuits, or even halfway through baking.

One-Pan Tip: This dish is oven-to-table friendly! Prepare the beef and bean mixture in an oven-safe skillet or casserole dish to keep cleanup minimal.

Make Ahead: You can prep the beef and bean mixture in advance and refrigerate it. When ready to bake, top with biscuits and pop it in the oven.

Leftovers: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. The biscuits may soften a bit but will still be delicious!
