This cranberry sauce is perfect for serving over ice cream, turkey, or even on its own! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned cook, this is a recipe you won't want to miss!

  • 12 ounces (340 grams) fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 medium orange squeezed
  • 3/4 cups orange juice (Pulp in or out. It's up to you.)
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  1. Add the cranberries, sugar, apple, orange zest, fresh orange juice, orange juice, water, and rosemary to a saucepan. Stir and cook over medium heat until the cranberries pop and the sauce begins to thicken. 

  2. Turn off the heat and allow to cool. Place the sauce in the fridge to thicken even more. 

  3. Serve and enjoy your homemade apple cranberry sauce.

You don't have to use apples. I just like them as I serve it with ham. 

The rosemary is optional as well. It does add a nice touch, however.
