  1. Add the pasta to boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside. I sometimes rinse and add some olive oil to stop the pasta from sticking.Β 

  2. Add the ground beef to a pan over medium high heat. Break it up and fry until cooked through. Move the beef to one side of the pan and add in the onion and garlic. Stir and saute for about 2 or 3 minutes. Mix everything together. Add in the tomato paste and stir once again. Pour in the tomato sauce and Italian tomatoes. Stir. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and hot pepper flakes. Mix until combined. Add in the pasta and mix until well incorporated.Β 

  3. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and spread the cheese over the top. Place in a 350 degree F or 180 C preheated oven for 10 or 15 minutes until the cheese melts. Garnish with basil. Serve and enjoy your Homemade Beefaroni Casserole!
