I remember visiting Florida. If course, you can't be there without having a piece of key lime pie. I walked into a little eatery on a hot day and notice a key lime milkshake on the menu.I thought if it was as good as the pie, it has to be worth a shot. I had it a try. Oh my goodness, it was so good. Being the curious creature that I am, I had to give it a try when I got back home. The result was incredible.

Description

Serve it to your guests and they will love it. I love mine severed up with some whipped cream and Graham crackers. Of course, you can alter some of the ingredients according to your taste.

Ingredients
  • 5 Scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream or the flavor of your choice
  • Zest of half a lime
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (optional)
  • 10 ice cubes
  • few drops of green food colouring (optional)
  • Whipped cream
  • Crushed Graham crackers.
Instructions
  1. Add the ice cream, lime zest, lime juice,milk, sugar, ice, and food colouring to a blender. Pulse until well combined.

  2. Serve up with some whipped cream and a sprinkle of Graham crackers.
