I love creamy and delicious mashed potatoes. If you feel the same way, this recipe certainly won't be a disappointment. This mashed potato recipe is a great side dish with any protein. Add some gravy to the equation, and they are out of this world.
Peel and wash the potatoes. Cut them into four or five sections and place them into a medium pot of water. Bring the water to a boil with potatoes in the pot. Allow them to cook until fork tender. That should take about 15 minutes.
Drain the potatoes. Add in the butter, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mashed until smooth and creamy. Alternatively, you can use a hand mixer or potato ricer. In some cases, I use my stand mixer.
Serve your mashed potatoes up with some gravy and your favourite protein. Most importantly, enjoy your creamy mashed potatoes.

I usually use Yukon Jack potatoes, but you can use the potatoes of your choice. Just make sure you rinse them well. The small or you slice them or cubed them, the faster label cook.
Adjust the amount of butter and milk you use according to the level of creaminess you like. The same applies to the seasoning.
As a sidenote, I often add in some chopped green onions for additional flavour. This makes something like a champ.
