Season the chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Add the oil to a pan over medium high heat. Place the chicken in and fry it on both sides until cooked through. Set is aside on a plate to rest.
To make the salsa sauce, add the black beans to a mixing bowl followed by the sour cream, salsa, cheese, jalapeno, cumin, garlic, onion powder, and chili powder. Slice the chicken into cubes and add it in. Mix until well combined and set aside.
Break up some tortilla chips and place them into the bottom of an oven proof pan. You can also use a casserole dish if you want. Follow this by spreading a layer of the salsa/chicken mixture over the top. Then, another layer of chips and a final layer of salsa mix. Spread the cheese over the top. Place in a 350 degree F or 180 C preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
