Ingredients
  • 3 medium pork chops (I use bone in, but use the cut of your choice.)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 10 medium button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
  1. Season both sides of the chops with salt, pepper, and garlic.

  2. Add the butter to a pan over medium high heat and let it melt down. Add in the oil followed by the chops.

  3. Fry the chops until seared and cooked through. This will take about 6 minutes or so depending on the chops. Set them aside on a plate to rest.

  4. Add the mushroom in and saute until they begin to sweat and turn brown.

  5. Place the onion and garlic in. Stir and saute until the onions are translucent and the garlic is fragrant.

  6. Add the flour in and allow it to cook for a couple of minutes. Pour in half the beef broth and stir until it begins to thicken. Add in the other half of the of the beef broth and stir once again until it thickens.

  7. Add the pork chops back in, spoon the gravy over them, reduce the heat, and allow them to simmer for a few minutes.

  8. Plate, pour the gravy over, and garnish with parsley. Enjoy.
