Best Season Suitable throughout the year
  • 1/2 kilogram Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 2 Eggs
  • 20 - 30 Pretzels
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons Honey
  1. Heat your oven to 425 F or 220 C.

  2. Slice the chicken breast into chicken nuggets.

  3. In the first bowl add the flour and spices. Mix until well combined.

  4. Place the eggs in the second bowl and beat until combined.

  5. In the third bowl add the crushed pretzels

  6. Dredge the chicken in the flour first, followed by the eggs, and then the pretzels. I always use three different tongs to prevent a messy buildup.

  7. Set them aside on a wire rack over top of a baking tray. I usually line the rack with some aluminum foil to catch the drippings.

  8. Place the in air fryer for 12 - 15 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  9. To make the sauce add the mustard and the honey to a small bowl and mix until well combined.

  10. Serve and enjoy your pretzel coated chicken nuggets.

There are a few tips and tricks to the recipe. I season my flour with some secret ingredients which the contents of the recipe reveal, but you can use the seasoning of your choice. We use boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the recipe, but chicken tenderloins could also be used. It is also a superb recipe for parties, game nights, and social gatherings.
