I'm always looking for quick and easy recipes with an Asian twist. That's when this fast and simple thinly sliced beef fry came to mind. It's actually a spin off of Korean Bulgogi. After making it, i became a regular on my dinner menu.

  • 1 pound (1/2) kilo of sirloin steak cuts pounded to tenderize and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (optional)
  • 3 - 4 drops sesame oil
  • 1/2 small sliced onion
  • 2 medium green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds
  1. Add the beef to a mixing bowl followed by the remaining ingredients. Using your hands, mix until well combined and the meat is completely covered.

  2. Add about 1 tbsp of oil to a pan over medium high heat. Place the beef mixture in and fry for a few minutes until browned and cooked through.

  3. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy your thinly sliced beef fry.
