Description

Peach crumble is made with an easy and simple combination of peaches, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and oats. You simple have to prepare the peaches, the crumble, and slip it in the oven. Believe me, the outcome is spectacular.

Ingredients
    For the Peaches
  • 4 medium peaches, peeled and cut into wedges
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • For the Crumble
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold cubed butter (1 stick)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Place the peaches in a pan over medium high heat. Add in the water and sugar. Stir and cook for about 3 or 4 minutes until the peaches become soft and darken.

  2. Place the peaches in a baking dish.

  3. Add the flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt to a mixing bowl. Cut together until a crumble forms. Add in the oats and cinnamon and fold together until well incorporated.

You can add the cinnamon to the crumble mixture first if you wish.
  4. Spread the crumble mixture over the peaches and even it out a bit so the peaches are totally covered.

  5. Place in a 350 degree F or 180 degree C preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes until it's cooked though, not, and bubbly.

  6. Plate, serve, and enjoy your simple peach crumble.

Note

If you don't want to go through the trouble of preparing the peaches, canned peaches can be used. If you use these, you might want to cut back on the amount of sugar used in the recipe.

You can use any brand of oats. Just make sure they are not too fine.

I always serve my peach crumble up with ice cream. The favour you use is your personal preference. Cool Whip goes nicely with it too.
