  1. Score the chicken diagonally, about 1/2 the way through, on one side. Flip it around and score it one the other side. You should get a cube effect.

  2. Season the scored section with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes. Add the flour to a separate container. Place the chicken in and dredge it until it's completely coated on both sides.

  3. Add the 3 tbsp of butter to a pan over medium high heat followed by 1 tbsp of olive oil. Place the chicken in and fry until seared and cooked through.

  4. Move the chicken to the top portion of the pan and add the additional 2 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil. Place the garlic in the bottom portion and fry for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

  5. Pour in the soy sauce, honey, and vinegar. Stir and simmer for about 5 minutes while spooning over the chicken. Also flip the chicken over in the sauce.

  6. Plate and garnish with parsley.

  7. Serve and enjoy your honey glazed garlic chicken.

Note

  1. To make the honey garlic glaze, use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder for better flavor.

  2. Use low-sodium soy sauce to control the saltiness of the dish.

  3. If the chicken is browning too quickly, you can reduce the heat or cover the pan with foil to prevent burning.

  4. Garnish the chicken with some fresh chopped parsley or green onions for added flavor and presentation.

  5. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat the chicken in the oven or microwave before serving.
