I never would have imagined something like taco pie until this recipe. It sounds strange, but the outcome is incredible. It makes a great midweek meal or snack as it's so easy to put together and outrageously versatile. Believe me, it's a crowd pleaser.
Crack open the tube of Pillsbury crescent rolls and lay over the bottom of a nine by nine inch baking dish. You'll have to double it over.
Place in a 350 degree F or 180 C oven for about 12 minutes.
While the pastry is baking, add some oil to a pan over medium high heat. Place the beef in and fry until browned.
Add in the onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and taco seasoning. Stir and fry until well combined. and the onion and garlic are translucent and fragrant.
Spoon the hamburger mixture oven the pastry. Then, add the sour cream and smooth it out. Next, top with cheese and crushed nachos.
Return the dish to the oven for about 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Garnish with parsley, serve, and enjoy.

I simply top the pie with a parsley garnish and dip it in salsa. You can, however, add traditional toppings such as tomatoes, lettuce, refried beans, etc. Or you can eve put the salsa on top.
As always, adjust the seasoning according to your liking.
