Add the ground beef to a pan over medium high heat. Break up and cook until browned and cooked through. Push the ground beef to one side of the pan and add in the onion and garlic. Stir and sauté until fragrant. Mix everything together.
-
Add the sauce in. I use a bit of water to clean out the jar. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes.
-
To build the lasagna, add have the sauce to the bottom of a casserole dish. Follow this by half the ravioli evenly layered over. Dollop the ricotta evenly over followed by the mozzarella. Dust half the parmesan over. Now, evenly spread the cheddar on. Repeat the process for the final layer.
If you don't what to use ricotta, you can use cottage cheese. -
After the final layer, sprinkle a bit more Italian seasoning over the top followed by the basil. Finally, sprinkle on the hot pepper flakes which are optional.
-
Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a 375 degree F preheated oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
-
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes, serve, and enjoy your lazy lasagna.

Note
Use cheese-stuffed or meat-stuffed ravioli for extra flavor — both work great.
Want more layers? Add sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or ground beef between the ravioli.
Cover with foil for the first 25–30 minutes of baking to keep it moist, then uncover to brown the cheese.
If using frozen ravioli, no need to thaw — just add 5–10 extra minutes to bake time.
Leftovers reheat beautifully and make a great next-day lunch.
