There is nothing nicer than baked beans. To me, they are indeed the ultimate comfort food. I often have baked beens with a burger or dog. As a matter of fact, I had a brisk sandwich the other day with a bowl of these baked beans. The combination was heavenly. These three baked beans are a must for any social gathering - especially if you want to be talk of the event.

Add some oil to a pan over medium high heat. Place in the ground beef and bacon. Fry until the beef is browned and the bacon is cooked. Drain any excess grease.
Add in the onion and garlic. Saute for a few minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
Add in the molasses, bbq sauce, ketchup, sugar, prepared mustard, chilli powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the meat is coated and all is well combined.
Put in the beans in maple, white beans, and red beans. Gently mix until combined.
Transfer the beans to a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees F or 180 C for about half and hour.
Serve and enjoy your three-bean baked beans.

Use the ground beef and bacon of your choice. Ground pork can also be used.
Alter the ingredients according to your choice. Use the brand of ketchup or bbq sauce you like. I prefer something with a hickory flavour.
I use beans in maple, but use the beans of your choice. White kidney beans work well, but butter beans are nice too.
