Note

Customize Your Veggies:
This recipe is super versatile! Feel free to swap in your favorite vegetables. Mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, or eggplant work beautifully and add their own unique flavors.

Spice It Up:
If you like a bit of heat, add a splash of hot sauce or use spicy Italian chicken sausage for an extra kick.

Serve It Your Way:
This dish pairs well with a variety of sides. Serve it over pasta, rice, quinoa, or even cauliflower rice for a low-carb option. Crusty bread is also perfect for soaking up all the delicious juices.

Make It Cheesy:
For an indulgent twist, sprinkle some shredded mozzarella or grated Parmesan cheese on top and let it melt just before serving.

Meal Prep Friendly:
This skillet reheats wonderfully, making it ideal for meal prep. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Gluten-Free Option:
Be sure to check the label on your chicken sausage to ensure it’s gluten-free, and pair the dish with gluten-free sides, like rice or quinoa.

Balance the Acidity:
If the tomatoes make the dish a bit too tangy for your taste, add a pinch of sugar or a drizzle of honey to balance the flavors.

Cooking Tip:
Make sure not to overcook the vegetables to keep them crisp and vibrant. Sauté them just until tender for the best texture.
