Delectable Hawaiian Pork Chop Recipe

hawaiianporkchops
I love the word delectable which means extremely delicious. That best describes our Hawaiian chicken recipe. Better yet, I do the chops on an indoor grill which adds additional delicious goodness to the meat. Personally, with any dish, you mention the word pineapple and you have my attention. Of course, an outdoor grill or oven works extremely well too. I do suggest that if you are doing the Hawaiian pork chops on an outdoor grill to add some grilling chips to it to bring those flavors to life even more.

Ingredients
To Make the Marinate or Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice (reserved from the pineapple rings)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic and ginger
  • 1 Drizzle sesame oil
  • 1 pinch hot pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 medium green onion, copped (for garnish)
  • 1/2 tablespoon corn starch
  • For the Pork Chops
  • 2 medium butterfly chops
  • 1 can pineapple rings
Instructions
  1. Add all of the ingredients for the marinate to a sealable container, bowl, or zip lock bag. Mix until the pork chops are completely covered. Allow to marinate for about 15 minutes. Overnight is actually the best if you have time.

  2. Place the pork chops on a grill over medium high heat along with some of the pineapple rings. Grill until cooked on both sides. This should take about 3 to 4 minutes on each side depending on the thickness.

The internal temperature should be about 145 degrees F.
  3. To make the sauce, add the marinate to a saucepan and add in the cornstarch. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Continue to stir until the sauce thickens.

  4. Plate, add some sauce, rings, and green onions over the chops

  5. Serve and enjoy your Hawaiian pork chops.
