Add the oil to a pan over medium high heat. Get the oil good and hot to the point where it begins to ripple and not smoke. Add in the beef and break it into about 2 inch pieces. Press down a bit and allow to fry for about 3 minutes until it begins to caramelize on the bottom. Flip and do the same on the other side. After the meat is caramelized on both sides break it up.Â

Add in the onion, garlic, and ginger. Saute until they are fragrant. Add in the soy sauce, honey, pepper, and water. Stir until well combined. Turn off the heat and add the sesame oil. Stir once again.Â
