One Pan Aromatic Beef and Rice in 30 Minutes

One pan beef and rice is a dish that originated in Africa and was called pilau. The is by no means original, but it is our version.

Description

It involves beef, a combination of spices, tomatoes, cilantro, etc. The dish in delicious and can be done in about 30 minutes. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

  1. Add some cooking oil into preheated pan. 

  2. Sauté onion over medium high heat until tender. Followed by ginger, garlic, masala powder, chili flakes, cinnamon stick, cilantro, salt and pepper. Sauté until the spice activates for few minutes. 

  3. Place in beef and stir for few minutes until the beef is coated with the spices. 

  4. Add in diced tomatoes. Stir until the tomatoes is tender. 

  5. Pour in beef stock, then add the rice and stir together. Bring to a boil. 

  6. Cover and allow to simmer for 20 minutes over medium low heat. 

  7. Garnish with cilantro and serve.
