Easy Pepper Steak Recipe in 25 Minutes

pepper steak pinit

Our Easy pepper steak recipe in 25 minutes is simply out of this world. Just to let you in on a little secret, I actually did this recipe in 20 minutes. Without the word of a lie, my friends, this recipe is spectacular. I think the thing that sets this dish from any other is the sauce. It has a thick, rich, ginger like taste that is perfect with rice or any other side dish. The peppers and celery are done tender crisp and the beef is cooked to perfection. Life simply doesn’t get any better.

  1. In a large measuring cup or mixing bowl combine the beef stock, ginger, sugar, garlic, pepper, corn starch, and soy sauce. Mix until well combined and set aside.

  2. Add some oil to a pan over medium high heat. Place the beef in and fry, in batches, until cooked though and browned. This should take about 4 minutes or so. Don't overcook the beef or it will be too tough. After the beef is done, set is aside to rest.

  3. Add a bit more oil to the same pan and place in the onion, celery, and bell peppers. Fry over medium high heat until tender crisp.

  4. Stir the sauce once again, pour it in, stir, and bring to a boil.

  5. Put the beef back in, stir, and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens a bit. Add in the lime juice and turn off the heat.

  6. Serve over steamed rice or noodles if you wish. Enjoy your easy pepper steak in 25 minutes.

Note

These are the ingredients I add to my pepper steak. Feel free to add extra seasoning, veggies, etc. Keep in mind that the better the cut of meat, the better the dish.

This recipe is also great for leftovers. As a matter of fact, it is often better the next day after soaking in the sauce.
