It was a got summer day and I wanted something refreshing. Yes, a cold lemonade would have done the trick, but I wanted a drink somewhat different with a bit more body. Then, this mango graham shake came to mind. I remember having one when I lived in the Philippines and thus my quest began. Believe me guys, the outcome was incredible. I’ve had milkshakes before, but this is beyond a shake.
Refreshing Mango Graham Shake
Description
A graham mango shake is a simple drink made with graham crumbs, fresh ripe mangos, sugar, and whipped cream. The shake is so easy to make and incredibly refreshing and delicious.Β

Add one cup of the cubed mangos to a blender along with 2 tbsp of sugar and the water. Puree and set aside.

Add the remaining mangoes to a blender followed by the ice cubes, milk, and the remaining sugar. blend until smooth and well combined.

To build the smoothie, add 2 tbsp of graham crackers to the bottom of a glass followed by some of the smoothie mixture (fill about half way). The add a layer of whipped cream, more graham, another layer of smoothie and a bit more cream. Now, add the mango cubes around the edges of the top of the cup. Top with a bit more puree and a final dusting of graham.Β

I use the most fresh mangoes available. Sometimes in the off season, they are hard to find. 2% milk will suffice, but if you're not that diet conscious, you can use half and half. Alter the sugar content according to your liking.Β
