Note

  1. Sausage Selection: Choose your favorite type of sausage for this recipe – whether it's spicy Italian, mild, or a flavorful chicken sausage. The variety you choose will influence the overall taste of the dish.

  2. Vegetable Options: Feel free to customize the vegetable selection based on your preferences. In addition to bell peppers, you can add onions, cherry tomatoes, or zucchini for extra color and taste.

  3. Herb Variations: Experiment with different herb combinations to enhance the flavor profile. Fresh rosemary and thyme complement the dish beautifully, but you can also try herbs like oregano or sage.

  4. Marination Time: For an even more flavorful result, marinate the chicken with the seasoning and herbs for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator. This step allows the flavors to penetrate the meat.

  5. Basting the Chicken: Basting the chicken during the roasting process with the juices from the pan can help keep it moist and add an extra layer of flavor. Use a baster or spoon to drizzle the juices over the chicken periodically.

  6. Serving Suggestions: This dish pairs well with a variety of sides. Consider serving it over a bed of cooked rice, quinoa, or with a side of crusty bread to soak up the delicious pan juices.

  7. Leftover Ideas: If you have leftovers, consider shredding the remaining chicken and sausage and using them in sandwiches, wraps, or salads for a quick and tasty lunch the next day.
